Any chance of the start button going black ...

Not currently; having one black element would cause a major inconsistency in the look of the skin. However, I may be able to be bribed into doing a clear & black version. I had considered it anyway...

Status Report:

Everything's done except for the Vista/7 Navigational buttons and the XP file animations. Then I have to set the substyles. Then testing... At the rate I'm going, I should have this puppy released sometime next week.

Allrighty then, looks like I'll be doing a substyle with black elements!

But due to severe technical problems with my laptop, it'll be a while before I can hop back in the saddle! Being the technical genious that I am, I accidentally caused my machine to not be able to boot!

Woo-hoo, we get a Black Ice edition after all.   That makes me go all gooey inside with anticipation. 

As for being the technical genuis that messed up your rig... don't sweat it... could happen to anyone... 'real' technical geniuses included.

Anyway, it's like I said to Po` (re: the CurriedCabbage WB), the deadline is when you're able to complete/submit it.

Just cos I want everything yesterday (others, too, I guess), there's no need for you to hurry. 

Well, the good news is that my system is operational again! The bad news is that I had to reinstall Windows, so now I've gotta reinstall my programs! Won't be that much longer, tho.
