I for one wish to thank Brad, Jeff and whoever else was involved in getting ObjectDock 2.0 to the point where it could be released! I just downloaded it and am very excited about it!

I also wanted to thank the team for a couple of specific things:

1. Thank you for the new True stretch feature. Without this feature (like in 1.9) docks pictured below would look choppy, but now they are smooth.

2. A personal thank you for including the Caliginous dock with the program. I am honored to have been able to contribute here. That was one of my earliest docks.

One thing that I believe is necessary is to natively include the Stacks docklet. I already have it saved, so it's not a big deal to just copy it over; but it would be nice to not have to.

Ok.  Can't find Objectdock Plus 2.0 on Impulse.  Where is it listed?

on Mar 30, 2010

you can purchase here...at least that's what I did since my accounts are linked...

I'm not seeing the option to download v2 though Impulse. I restarted the client, but it's still not there...

Those of you who have ordered/paid update and can't see it, is your <Show pre-release versions> option checked?

on Mar 30, 2010

Yeah, I upgraded...but still not listed.  Oh well...i'll take a look later on today.

Glad they finally came out with a 2.0.

EDIT: and yes, I do have the Show Pre-release Versions options checked.

Pre-Ordered, no mail, no OD 2..

on Mar 30, 2010

Yeah, I upgraded...but still not listed.

It will be listed in the "My Programs" tab. Make sure that under the view option you have "hide non-installed applications" unchecked.

Also, as stated above, make sure that, under the blue menu tab, you are set to view beta and pre-release versions of programs.

Just checked Impulse again, and it's there now, I think as the purchases go through, all that pre-ordered should be getting it soon...

What if, instead of the actual start menu, there were a type of start menu launcher that displays your start menu items, without displaying the actual start menu? Half similar maybe to the W7 jump lists or something.

Right Click has soemthing like this although not the jump list feature.

So at all : Did You install it parallel to 1.9 ? Or does it update ?

I didn't want to risk a conflict, so I backed up my theme, then uninstalled 1.9 through Impulse, then installed 2.0.

Surprisingly though, 2.0 knew what my last theme was before I had a chance to load it!

Yes, but RC doesn't play well with W7...

I uninstalled 1.9 then installed 2...my saved themes were waiting and the active one loaded with 2 new docks

Well....on x64 that's true....BUT......Jafo got his running and said he had disabled the firewall (and anti-stuff) while installing so I tried it again, put an exception in the firewall for it and now it works. I don't know why it needs a firewall exception but as long as it works I'm happy. It uses only default icons for exe shortcuts but does show folder icons for special folders.

I initially mentioned it to show the technology is available.

how do i get stacks docklet to work again?? and what about making icons reflective?? wasnt that supposed to be in v2

on Mar 30, 2010

I still have 1.9 installed, just unloaded and disabled Load at Startup. No problems so far.
